AROHINI NARAIN
Brief Profile
Arohini Narain holds an MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, HK, and a BA (Honours) in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She is an EFMD award-winning case pedagogy professional with over sixteen years of experience in case research & development, faculty mentoring, and academic centre leadership across leading Indian and international institutions.
Her work with HSBC (USA & Hong Kong), ISB (Hyderabad), IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, XLRI (Jamshedpur), AIMA, and the Tata Group spans the full lifecycle of the case method of learning—from field-based research, case writing, and teaching note development to faculty induction, coaching, editorial review, and dissemination through global publishers including Harvard Business Publishing and Ivey Publishing. She founded and headed the XLRI Case Research & Development Centre, where she institutionalized the processes for case development, faculty support, and industry engagement.
She has mentored numerous case writers, reviewed over 250 case studies, and edited multiple book manuscripts and research papers published in leading international journals. She serves on the editorial team of Emerald Publishing (North America), regularly conducts faculty development workshops on the case method, and serves as a jury member at leading national and international case competitions.
Alongside her academic and content leadership work, Arohini has deep hands-on experience in organizational design, restructuring, and the professionalization of family-run, promoter-driven organizations, particularly in the healthcare sector. This expertise led her to found and successfully run Urogyam Consulting, a content and management consultancy.
